Splunk Security Operations Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Splunk Engineer to enhance our Cyber Security Operations team within the Aerospace, Defence, and Security sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the robustness of our security technology stack and supporting our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the operational integrity of security systems, including SIEM and Threat Intelligence platforms.
- Collaborate with SOC Analysts to manage incidents across various clients.
- Advise on security architecture and design decisions across diverse environments such as Cloud, on-premises, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Conduct security reviews to identify and mitigate gaps in security frameworks.
- Develop and implement security controls while performing data analysis and correlation across multiple data sources.
What You Bring:
- Essential expertise in Splunk, holding either the Splunk Cloud Certified Admin or Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin certification.
- Proven experience in a Security Engineering capacity, with strong skills in incident response, malware analysis, and SIEM configuration.
- Familiarity with AWS and Azure, along with relevant certifications demonstrating hands-on experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Azure Sentinel or IBM QRadar is a plus.
- Ability to design security solutions tailored to client requirements.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must be eligible for SC clearance and willing to undergo DV and NPPV2 checks.
