Job Opportunity: Health and Safety Officer

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at a busy engineering site in South Leicestershire. The successful candidate will work part-time, handling all health and safety matters, including audits, workplace inspections, machine inspections, risk assessments, and general health and safety administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Develop and implement effective risk assessments and control measures to mitigate potential hazards
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with an engineering background
  • Local to Lutterworth/South Leicestershire, with a commitment to working on-site 3 days per week
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • A strong understanding of practical health and safety principles, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting
