**Health & Safety Administrator**

**Location: Melton Mowbray**

**What you will be doing**:
An opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Administrator to join the team at Galliford Try.

You will be responsible for ensuring all HS&E administrative tasks are completed to the highest standards, working closely with our HS&E Senior leadership team to organise and maintain the internal HS&E Database, inputting data into company systems, periodic reporting and developing documents for publication onto the business intranet.

**Key Responsibilities**

You will work centrally within the Highways business HS&E team to support the delivery of our knowingly safe and well strategy:

- Providing administrative services to the HS&E team in accordance with applicable organisation policies and practices, referring to Line Manager as appropriate
- General administration services to the team include data entry and assisting in the management of communications and paperwork
- Support with the reporting to respond to internal targets and external client requirements.
- End to end development and maintenance of Microsoft Applications, along with the management of the HS&E Data Lake
- Monitor compliance to applicable health, safety and environmental standards, legislation, and procedures
- Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
- Drive decision-making using the power of data and insights, upskilling the HS&E Team by increasing their data literacy and giving the business the tools to self-serve
- Facilitating sharing of lessons learnt internally across the business and externally to the wider industry to accelerate adoption and drive efficiencies.

**Location**

At Galliford Try, we are committed to flexible and agile working. Day to day working locations are flexible and homeworking is an option. Some face to face contact may be required therefore a base location in the Midlands would be preferable.

**About You**
- Previous experience in an Health and safety role or experience of working within a construction environment would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given.
- Ability to establish strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Excellent team player.
- Focus to drive and deliver results.
- A keen eye for detail and artistic flair
- Interest in upskilling yourself and keeping pace with a fast paced changing industry.
- Strong IT skills including PowerApps, PowerBI, Excel, Word and MS Office and experience of using other digital software.
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills and confident in finding digital or technological solutions.
- Manages time efficiently, plans and prioritises work activities.
- A good understanding of administration and the office environment generally
- Ability to integrate, transform, model, and visualise data from various sources
