Job Title: Site Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Manager to lead our residential project team and ensure the successful delivery of our new residential project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, including the coordination and supervision of on-site personnel and sub-contractors.
- Issue Resolution: Manage the resolution of any day-to-day issues arising on site during the duration of the project.
- Material and Plant Requisitioning: Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager on material and plant requisitioning.
- Cost Management: Liaise with the Senior Quantity Surveyor on cost issues and compile the Variation Log and monitor variations.
- Sub-Contractor Management: Manage Sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site.
- Project Delivery: Support the Project Manager in delivering the project to a superior quality, completed on time, within budget, and implemented within the required safety, environmental, and quality parameters.
- Work Programmes: Schedule weekly Work programmes and review weekly progress reports for the Master Construction Programme.
- Communication: Facilitate the flow of information between the Design Team and Construction Team.
- Team Meetings: Attend and chair weekly Management Team Meetings.
- Site Records: Maintain site records in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Safety Management: Manage and implement the Safety Management System.
- Programme Implementation: Implement daily and weekly Programmes.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Engineering degree/diploma or related discipline or Trade Qualifications (Carpentry) or a minimum 5 years Site Management experience.
- Experience: Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale high-density residential, commercial, or refurbishment projects.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness and ability to deal with the whole financial and programmed planning elements of the project.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills.
- Responsiveness: Demonstrate a high degree of responsiveness.
