Job Description

Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our JD Group Legal Team. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for advising and supporting the JD Group on all types of commercial contracts with a consumer or advertising and marketing focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support the JD Group on commercial contracts with a consumer or advertising and marketing focus.
  • Support more junior team members in reviewing, drafting, and advising on commercial contracts.
  • Create standard template agreements and improve working processes.
  • Provide training to the business and the Legal Team to develop their skills.
  • Work closely with the Compliance team and the Group's Data Protection Officer.

Requirements:

  • UK qualified solicitor with 6+ years PQE.
  • Training and previous experience in reviewing, drafting, and advising on commercial contracts.
  • Experience of working with all levels of stakeholders in a large global corporate.
  • Good understanding of evolving regulations, particularly relating to consumer law, data privacy, competition law, and advertising/marketing standards.
  • Effective communication and negotiating skills.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and team player with a commercial mindset.
