About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Counsel to join our dynamic JD Group Legal Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in advising and supporting our business on all types of commercial contracts with a consumer or advertising and marketing focus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise and support the JD Group on commercial contracts, with a focus on consumer law, data protection, and advertising/marketing regulations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver global projects and initiatives, including cross-functional teams and training programs.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to complex commercial contract issues, collaborating with the Legal Team and business stakeholders.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on commercial contract law and best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in reviewing, drafting, and advising on commercial contracts, with a strong understanding of consumer law, data protection, and advertising/marketing regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in delivering projects across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex commercial contract issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the retail, FMCG, or customer-facing industry sector.
