Business Development Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Group Transformation team at JD Sports. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business change and delivering strategic initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct business impact assessments to identify and prioritize initiatives that align with our strategic goals.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather and validate business requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead requirements workshops and facilitate the gathering and prioritization of business requirements.
- Validate requirements against objectives and scope, identifying and managing risks and dependencies.
- Articulate the pros and cons of agile and waterfall methodologies and apply process mapping skills to improve business processes.
- Proactively identify and drive improvements in business analysis and group transformation processes.
- Coach and mentor the BA team, promoting best practices and improving working practices.
- Provide high-quality peer reviews and feedback on BA deliverables.
- Take ownership of personal development, working with your manager to set objectives and milestones and identify training needs.
- Engage in promoting new ways of working and supporting technologies that enhance business analysis capabilities.
- Strong business analysis experience in ecommerce, retail, or supply chain environments.
- Excellent facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to question stakeholders and identify underlying issues.
- Experience in establishing relationships, analyzing perspectives, and managing stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Pragmatic self-starter able to work with minimal supervision, thriving in a fast-paced environment and proactively managing time.
- Experience in Agile Scrum environments, prioritizing backlogs, refining requirements, and facilitating estimation sessions.
- Exposure to the full software development life cycle.
- Diligent, focused, and dependable, with strong relationship-building skills.
- Certification in Agile methodologies, such as Certified Business Analyst/Product Owner/Scrum.
- Professional certification, such as the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring Business Analysts and BA teams in best practice approaches and improving team performance.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, feedback, and adapt communication styles as appropriate.
- Proficient in process mapping and experience working with retail/ecommerce/supply chain teams.
