Our client, Andrecruit Group Ltd, is seeking a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to enhance their operations in the South Somerset region.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Identifying inefficiencies and streamlining processes to boost productivity and reduce costs.
  • Collaborating on both ongoing and new research and development initiatives.
  • Creating and managing essential documentation including process flows, tool designs, component specifications, and work instructions.
  • Working closely with the Lean team to establish and implement best practices aimed at enhancing production efficiency and quality.
  • Designing innovative manufacturing solutions, including the development of jigs and fixtures as required.
  • Assembling and wiring electro-mechanical systems according to detailed assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Participating in new product introduction reviews to ensure optimal production designs are implemented.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence and lean methodologies.
  • Proposing and presenting ideas for process enhancements that improve profitability, quality, and safety.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • HND/HNC qualification or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as a Process Improvement Engineer in a product development setting.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using 2D/3D CAD software.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
