Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at the Institute of the Motor Industry. limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, cost-efficient manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and failure mode effect analysis to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  4. Develop and maintain technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in lean manufacturing.

Requirements:

  1. Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, such as engineering or manufacturing.
  2. Proven experience in lean manufacturing techniques, including value stream mapping and one-piece flow.
  3. Strong understanding of Six Sigma concepts and tools, including regression analysis and design of experiments.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  5. Proficiency in software applications, including Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing.

Desirable:

  1. Detailed knowledge of engineering design and product reliability concepts.
  2. Understanding of ProLaunch and industry-specific quality processes.
  3. Knowledge of product and end-user application specifications.

Salary and Benefits:
