Job Title: Offsite Learning Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Offsite Learning Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist students during off-site learning activities, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Transport students to and from off-site locations, utilizing your D1 driving license and minibus driving skills.
  • Assist with planning and supervising small groups and individuals undertaking activities, fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Carry out Learning Support Assistant duties when working on-site at the school, providing comprehensive support to students and staff.

Requirements:

  • Hold a D1 driving license and be willing to complete MIDAS Training, if not already certified.
  • Experience in supporting students with SEN, with a strong understanding of their needs and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the school and its students.

Working Hours:

Monday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Tuesday to Friday: 8:30am - 3:15pm
