About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in the Basingstoke area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, providing personalized support to help them achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions at Key Stages 3 and 4, utilizing expertise to drive student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to plan and deliver lessons, ensuring effective support for students with diverse needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to overcome learning barriers, leveraging a solid understanding of various learning difficulties.
  • Maintain accurate records and database management, ensuring seamless student monitoring processes.
  • Hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C or above, with HTLA or equivalent qualifications.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patient, adaptable, and positive attitude towards challenges, with experience working with SEN children an asset.
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, with relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education advantageous but not essential.
