About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a reputable primary school in the Basingstoke area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to students, including 1:1 work for children with additional needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to assist in planning and delivering lessons across various subjects.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment within the school and during off-site activities.
  • Follow school policies and procedures as outlined in documentation and as directed by the Headteacher.
  • Represent the school positively within the community.
  • Keep sensitive information encountered during duties confidential.
  • Comply with the school's Equal Opportunities policy and Health and Safety policy.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • A passion for education and supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patient, adaptable, and positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Experience with SEN children is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not essential.
