About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in the Basingstoke area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, providing personalized support to help them achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions at Key Stages 3 and 4, utilizing your expertise to drive student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to plan and deliver lessons, ensuring a seamless learning experience for students.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with learning difficulties, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring timely and efficient student monitoring processes.
  • Hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C or above, with HTLA or equivalent qualifications.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Experience working with SEN children is an asset.
