Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Supply Desk Limited. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, providing personalized support to help them achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide literacy and numeracy interventions at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Work one-on-one and lead small groups, particularly in the context of Pupil Premium initiatives to achieve measurable progress.
  • Develop effective strategies to help students overcome learning difficulties.
  • Record-keeping and database management as part of the school's student monitoring processes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • A passion for education and supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patient, adaptable, and a positive attitude towards challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not essential.
