About the Role

KPMG's Infrastructure Group in the UK is a leading provider of strategic economic consultancy services in the water sector. We are seeking a high-quality candidate to support our Power & Utilities business, with a particular focus on the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards the team's water business, developing expertise in water sector advice, including Ofwat's regulatory framework and statutory planning frameworks.
  • Build relationships with key clients across the sector, as well as with other advisors, such as legal and engineering firms.
  • Advise on high-profile and varied projects, including regulatory frameworks, business plans, bulk supply trading negotiations, and major transactions.
  • Apply a structured strategic approach to problem-solving, while thinking creatively.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor junior staff across multiple projects.
  • Contribute towards building the team, identifying opportunities in the market, and providing thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in the utilities sector, industry, regulator, or as a consultant, ideally with water sector experience.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory/planning frameworks for water companies.
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and possessing excellent report writing, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter, willing to take advantage of opportunities.
