HR Business Partner Role

Reed Talent Professionals is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client, a reputable Housing Association based in Norwich. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping, developing, and delivering HR services that reflect our core values and priorities.

The HR Business Partner will provide strategic and operational HR leadership to drive the delivery of the HR Strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders to influence management teams to adopt best practice HR in support of business plans and objectives.
  • Providing strategic and operational HR leadership to drive the delivery of the HR Strategy.
  • Facilitating key HR areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • Assisting in building talent pipelines and driving resourcing plans within the business area(s).
  • Working with management teams to define and develop organisational talent, addressing performance proactively.
  • Offering up-to-date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates, developing policies in line with current legislation, and staying abreast of HR best practices and workplace trends.
  • Strategising case management to effectively manage risk for the group.
  • Advising on complex Employee Relations matters and interpreting people data and analytics to influence decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Acting as the HR contact point for a wide range of HR activities, including workforce planning, restructuring, resourcing, and performance management.
  • Providing comprehensive workshops covering management responsibilities in HR best practices.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in HR.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale change programmes such as TUPE or reorganisations.
  • Relevant and demonstrable HR experience in large complex organisations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of current HR issues and trends, with evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Experience in a business partner model, creating positive business outcomes with local managers.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with flexibility in approach.
  • Attention to detail and experience using data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present effectively at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to contribute to new programmes and initiatives.
  • Commercial insight with the ability to manage and identify risks.
