We are partnering with a global company to hire a Senior Legal Counsel within their legal team.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and strategic guidance to the business across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with the General Counsel, senior management, and various business units to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigate risks, and support the company's growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment. Day to day, this could include:

  • Legal Advisory: provide proactive, business-oriented legal advice to senior management and various business units on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and more.
  • Contract Management: draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts including service agreements, professional service agreements, software, SAAS, and more.
  • Risk Management: identify and assess legal risks, develop strategies to mitigate those risks, and ensure that the company's operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Litigation Management: oversee simple litigation matters, including working with external counsel where required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, commercial contracts, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
