Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Workshop Technician to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our workshop operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment, and providing technical support to our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and construct prototypes and experimental equipment to a high precision in close consultation with the end-user or project team.
  • Operate and maintain standard machine tools and CNC machinery, and assist with the operation and maintenance of workshop facilities.
  • Provide technical support to engineering teams, including training and guidance on the use of machinery and equipment.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of workshop management systems, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Undertake training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in mechanical workshop operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in a mechanical workshop environment.
  • Strong background in setting, operating, and programming milling and turning machines.
  • Manual machining skills and experience with CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
