About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Workshop Recruitment. As a Catering Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with our senior engineers to provide top-notch maintenance and repair services to our clients in the London area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on catering equipment and kitchen units to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with on-site catering staff to prioritize and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to technical support calls and provide expert solutions to clients.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our catering equipment fleet.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with equipment as needed, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities, adhering to company standards.
  • Report any equipment misuse or neglect to management.
  • Decommission and install equipment as required, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Provide training to customer staff on equipment use and care, promoting best practices.
  • Support the Technical Support Department in achieving exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area and vehicle, reflecting positively on the company.
  • Assist with site and project activities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and timekeeping skills.
  • Experience in field-based engineering, preferably in a similar role.
  • Mechanical and electrical qualifications, such as NVQ or City & Guilds.

  • CCLNG1 Core Commercial Laundry Gas Safety.
  • CLE1 Non-Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Laundry Appliances.

Electrical

  • C&G 17th Edition.
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection.
  • F-gas 1/5 Certification.
  • Exceptional candidates without these qualifications may be considered based on skills and experience.
