Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with KS2 children with SEMH and ASD needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working 1:1 and with small groups of children under the guidance of the Class Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEMH and ASD needs in a KS2 setting
  • Work 1:1 and with small groups of children under the guidance of the Class Teacher
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children
  • Collaborate with the Class Teacher and other support staff to ensure effective support for children

Requirements:

  • At least one year's experience working with children, preferably in an education setting
  • An interest in supporting children with SEMH and ASD needs
  • Good Literacy and numeracy skills
  • A great understanding of behaviour strategies
  • NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification
