Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our SEND department. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs and will be able to provide targeted intervention outside of the classroom. You will be working closely with the Assistant Principal/SENDCo to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working in an educational setting and relevant qualifications in Learning Support
  • A calm and understanding personality, with the ability to manage behaviour and help students focus
  • The ability to work flexibly and constructively as part of a team, providing day-to-day classroom support to students
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish good relationships with students and staff
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children
Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have a GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualification. They will also be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and an online screening check.
