We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Iceland. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our own-brand products.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Buying Team and Product Process Development Manager in driving the delivery of product quality for all Iceland own-brand products.
- Source and purchase samples from competitors, ensuring accurate rotation and receipting of products.
- Record and update all samples received into the department, managing out-of-date stock accordingly.
- Assist the Home Economist in setting up panels and meetings, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Prepare and serve meals for senior team members and other stakeholders as required.
- Maintain the Iceland Kitchen and facilities in excellent condition, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the food industry or a related field, preferably in product development or quality assurance.
- Knowledge of food safety legislation and HACCP principles.
- Strong practical cookery skills and a good understanding of culinary practices.
- Demonstrable interest in food trends and current industry developments.
- Basic food hygiene certification.
- Valid driving license.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 12:00 - 18:00. We are looking for someone who is immediately available to start.
