About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Welcome Clerk. This is an exciting opportunity to provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients and visitors to the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and efficient reception and appointment booking service to patients and visitors in accordance with Trust policies and standards.
  • Deliver an effective administrative and clerical service to the Ward Team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, relatives, and staff, providing exceptional customer care and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of clinical areas, enhancing patient care and experience.

Requirements

  • Strong administration and IT skills, with experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including some Bank Holidays and Saturdays, as required.
  • Commitment to providing a patient-focused service, with a strong emphasis on empathy and understanding.
