About the Role:
The NEC Group is a leading live events business operating in various sectors, including exhibitions, conferences, music, sports, family entertainment, and hospitality. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Account Director to join our Conventions Sales New Business Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the New Business Sales Director in driving the performance of Conventions new business across ICC, Vox, and NEC venues.
- Increase profitable occupancy of all three venues with new event content.
- Achieve personal sales targets and mentor colleagues in the New Business team.
Requirements:
- Experience leading a sales team.
- Driven and self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record of successfully winning new business and building relationships with clients.
- Commercially sound with an excellent understanding of commercial drivers and the ability to make decisions that achieve the best commercial outcomes for the Group.
- Excellent relationship builder with customers, colleagues, industry peers, and clients at various levels.
- Drive and energy to exceed all targets with a 'hunting' attitude and tenacity for the sale.
