Position Overview

Modus Personnel Ltd is seeking multiple skilled Pumping Systems Technicians to join our reputable client, a leader in the provision of pumping solutions with over six decades of experience in the field.

In this position, you will collaborate with a fellow Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to efficiently resolve equipment failures and provide exceptional service, installation, and commissioning of various pumping systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is well-suited for individuals with engineering credentials (Mechanical or Electrical), preferably with experience in pumping systems, pumping facilities, valves, piping, drainage, utilities, and water management.

Flexibility is crucial, as there may be a need for occasional overnight travel. In recognition of your commitment, a competitive salary, overtime incentives, and a range of benefits will be offered to reward your contributions.

Employment Type

Full-Time, Permanent positions available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing, installation, and commissioning of a variety of pumping systems including Pumps, Pumping Facilities, Control Panels, Valves, and Piping.
  • Conduct maintenance and monitoring of equipment.
  • Enhance equipment performance through troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and equipment failures.
  • Be prepared for overnight travel as necessary.
  • Document work progress in detailed site reports.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the company positively.
  • Operate the company vehicle and maintain necessary tools and supplies.
  • Manage petty cash and process payments efficiently.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, Day Shifts, 40 hours per week (flexibility required).

Compensation

  • Competitive salary based on location and experience.
  • Overtime compensated at time and a third & time and a half.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience with pumping systems is essential (Pumps, Valves, Piping, or similar).
  • A background in Utility Maintenance, Water Management, or Drainage is advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
  • 17th or 18th edition qualification is a plus.
  • A valid UK driving licence is mandatory.
  • Must be willing to stay away from home when required.
  • CSCS, First Aid, or Confined Space training would be beneficial.
