Position Overview

City Facilities Management is seeking a skilled HVAC Systems Technician with a strong background in the service and upkeep of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various locations.

Working Hours

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (42.5 hours per week with a Standby Rota of 1 week in every 4)

Key Responsibilities

The HVAC Systems Technician will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment in accordance with established standards, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Respond promptly to service calls and alarm notifications from the central Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and executing repairs within agreed timelines.
  • Perform service and maintenance on HVAC assets, including but not limited to:
    • Air handling units with gas-fired heating
    • Low-Pressure Hot Water (LPHW) systems
    • Direct Expansion (DX) coils
    • Heat pump systems
    • Single split air conditioning units
    • LPHW boilers
    • Pumps and inverters
    • Domestic Hot Water (DHW) boilers
    • Water chillers
Health and Safety Compliance

All tasks must be completed in alignment with our Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess recognized Commercial Gas qualifications, holding at least four of the following certifications:

  • Experience in HVAC and gas systems within a multi-site context
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel daily
