About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team at Boots. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality Phlebotomy services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and verify participant details
  • Explain the phlebotomy procedure to participants
  • Manage appointment bookings and clerical duties
  • Take various participant measurements, such as height, weight, and waist circumference
  • Collect and maintain venous blood samples according to UK guidelines
  • Maintain quality of service delivery by following Standard Operating Procedures and adhering to health and safety standards
  • Ensure samples are prepared for delivery to the correct laboratory within required timescales
  • Order and maintain adequate stock of requisite materials needed to deliver service
  • Communicate with the in-store Pharmacist and pharmacy team to assure safe and appropriate provision of the service
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist is desirable, but we will consider applicants without experience and provide full training
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Empathetic, approachable, and able to interact sensitively
  • Digitally savvy and comfortable with embracing technology
  • Passion for customer care and working in healthcare
  • Ability to work as part of a busy team
  • Prepared to learn and be comfortable in completing a healthcare training program at NVQ2 or equivalent
