Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Orthopaedics team at the Hospital of St Johns and St Elizabeth. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses in delivering excellent standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patient care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care with the multidisciplinary team and patients' families.
- Promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
- Undertake delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the Ward Manager, including supervision of more junior staff.
- Apply advanced clinical skills to assist in performing safe and effective care for patients.
- Experience at Band 5 or above in a relevant role.
- Demonstrable practice that is evidence-based and up to date.
- Experience of working with teams, motivating and empowering them to deliver excellent standards of patient care.
- Experience of identifying and dealing with risks encountered within own practice.
- Experience of supporting junior/less experienced staff to improve standards of patient care.
