Graduate Academic Tutor Role

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and passionate Graduate Academic Tutor to join our team at an outstanding secondary school in Manchester. This is a long-term role, providing an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or experienced tutors to develop their teaching skills and make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, focusing on academic development and personal growth.
  2. Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  3. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities, tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
  4. Contribute to the development of lesson plans and educational resources, in collaboration with the teaching team.
  5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
Requirements:
  1. Strong academic background, with good A-Levels and GCSEs.
  2. Degree required (2:2 or above), ideally in English, Maths, or Science.
  3. Passion for education and a commitment to supporting students of all backgrounds.
  4. Enhanced DBS check required (Aspire People can process one for you).
