About The Role

To support our growing business, Magdalene are on the lookout for a Fleet Coordinator. This is initially a six-month fixed term contract with the possibility of being extended.

Job Summary

The Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for administering new drivers and leavers, ordering short-term hire vehicles, coordinating the allocation of commercial vehicles, and maintaining the fleet database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer new drivers and leavers
  • Order short-term hire vehicles via M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions (MGSPFS)
  • Coordinate the allocation of all commercial vehicles
  • Keep the fleet database up to date
  • Provide administrative support to drivers
  • Administer fuel cards and driver fines
  • Liaise with drivers and MGSPFS to schedule repairs, servicing, and MOTs
  • Ensure reporting from MGSPFS is correct
  • Ensure all drivers receive relevant driving bulletins and where necessary training
  • Manage the telematics system, driver apps, fuel cards, and tolls
  • Liaise with line managers to ensure the telematics system is kept up to date with all incidents processed according to the driver process
  • Provide driver safety reports
  • Assess vehicles for damage during the De-Hire process, accurately recording/photographing all damage
  • Allocate vehicles to the workshop for service, maintenance, and hire preparation
  • Audit: continual assessment of vehicles ensuring that current system status is accurate and reviewing with line managers
  • Monitor Samsara and highlight any coaching requirements to ensure drivers are safe on the roads
Requirements
  • Previous experience of the maintenance requirements and fleet management of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) and knowledge of these vehicle types and understanding of legislation
