About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our team at Priory Group. As a Lead Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the ward manager in managing a secure ward with patients under the mental health act who have a diagnosis of mental health, personality disorder, and/or learning disability needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the ward manager in managing the ward and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and support.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Registered nurse with active NMC PIN and 2 years post-qualifying experience.
  • Relevant clinical experience in a secure or forensic setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing needs and priorities.
