About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Underwriter to join our team at Howden. As a Property Underwriter, you will be responsible for identifying and responding to the needs of our clients, ensuring we deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite property risks within the confines of delegated authority
  • Undertake negotiations for risks that have been flagged for review
  • Gather, analyze, and present reports to inform underwriting decisions
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to provide technical assistance and advice
  • Manage workload to meet business priorities and timescales
Requirements
  • Current experience as a Household/Private Client Underwriter or Assistant Underwriter
  • Excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively
  • Passion for delivering an excellent client experience
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
