Position: Operations Manager

Compensation: £40,000 annually plus performance-related bonuses, company vehicle or cash allowance, pension scheme, and a variety of additional benefits from Veolia.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operational functions of the Commercial business unit to ensure efficient and safe work processes while delivering services at optimal operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety, quality, and environmental policies, prioritizing Health and Safety within the collections operations.
  • Lead and manage a team of 36 frontline staff and 5 office personnel, providing training and mentorship for new hires, contractors, and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Drive efficiencies in your role to maximize profitability.
  • Assist in achieving operational KPIs for collections while continuously monitoring financial and operational performance.
  • Enhance quality and efficiency through effective team management.
  • Complete month-end reports in the absence of the business manager.
  • Conduct Incident and Accident reports according to company procedures, performing thorough investigations for all incidents and documenting them in AVA.
  • Manage all fleet compliance related to operations and serve as the nominated Transport Manager on the company’s Operators Licence.
Qualifications We Seek:
  • IOSH Qualification.
  • CPC Qualification (or currently pursuing).
  • Background in commercial operations.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Exceptional management skills.
