Position: Operations Manager

Salary: £40,000 per annum plus performance-related bonus, company vehicle or cash allowance, pension scheme, and a range of additional benefits from Veolia.

Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Location: Newhaven

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational functions of the Commercial business unit, ensuring safe and efficient work processes while delivering services at optimal efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, quality, and environmental policies, prioritizing safety within collections operations.
  • Lead and manage a team of 36 frontline staff and 5 office personnel, providing training and mentorship for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Drive operational efficiencies to enhance profitability.
  • Support the achievement of operational KPIs for collections, alongside ongoing financial and performance monitoring.
  • Enhance quality and efficiency through effective team management.
  • Prepare month-end reports in the absence of the business manager.
  • Complete Incident and Accident reports as per company protocols, conducting thorough investigations for all incidents.
  • Manage fleet compliance related to operations and serve as the nominated Transport Manager on the company’s Operators Licence.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • IOSH Qualification.
  • CPC Qualification (or working towards it).
  • Experience in commercial operations.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Exceptional management skills.
