Repairs Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Repairs Manager to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contracts management within social housing and be able to lead and support a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the in-house DLO team who complete 65% of all works, hold them accountable, manage performance and KPIs
  • Deliver responsive and empty home work to high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Deal with damp and mould or disrepair claims in line with Awaab's Law
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality service that meets the needs of tenants, leaseholders and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide a structured approach to reviewing and improving performance and understand how to manage budgets and employees effectively
  • Undertake performance reviews of the in-house maintenance service to ensure value for money and efficiency
  • Manage any complaints that come through in line with the housing ombudsman code
  • Analyse data and manage areas of procurement
Requirements:
  • Recognised qualification at degree or diploma level in a building related subject or relevant experience in Housing Maintenance Service Delivery
  • Demonstrate the capability to lead and support a diverse team
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety and compliance regulations as well as damp and mould in Social Housing
  • Experience of procuring services through frameworks and direct services
  • Demonstrate ability to manage KPIs including budgets effectively, in a contracts management capacity
