Maintenance / Repairs Surveyor job, Permanent, Full-time, West Yorkshire, Up to £40,000 + benefits package

Your new company 
A large housing association with over 20,000 stock nationally. Their aim is to provide high-quality and affordable homes for their customers.
Your new role 
Working as part of the property team, it will be your responsibility as repairs/maintenance surveyor to carry out surveys and property inspections and oversee the delivery of repairs to ensure they are completed safely, within set timeframes and to the appropriate standard. You will also be responsible for ensuring void properties are to a letting standard. Customer satisfaction will be at the forefront of your mind.

What you'll need to succeed 

HNC/HND or equivalent in building/construction or relevant maintenance/construction experienceUnderstanding of responsive repairs, voids work, planned and cyclical repairs requirements.Be able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, working with minimal supervisionA customer focus, with the ability to communicate and empathise with tenantsNumeracy and literacy skills are essential. Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, housing, and property management systems. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use. Flexible to travel in West Yorkshire.Experience of undertaking assessments in line with HHSRSAbility to be proactive and work on own initiative, with limited supervision,
