The Role: Residential Support Worker - Waking Nights

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of our students. You will work closely with other staff members to provide 24/7 support, assisting with daily living activities, promoting positive behavior, and creating a supportive and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to students, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in educational activities and social events.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and a safe learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and daily activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the residential unit.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A genuine passion for working with young people with complex needs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare is essential.
