Job Summary

A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced Technical Account Manager to join the rapidly growing Facultative Reinsurance team at Ardonagh Advisory. Ardonagh Advisory is a leading insurance advisory firm, overseeing a significant portfolio of clients.

The Account Manager position at Ardonagh Advisory is pivotal. Your main role is to ensure that your client's accounts are serviced proactively and to the highest standards. You are tasked with providing the necessary materials for the business placements and ensuring that post-placement servicing is handled promptly and accurately.

You will collaborate closely with the Facultative team's producers & brokers, playing an essential part in the client service lifecycle. You will possess the required technical skills to support facultative placements, be confident in building trusted relationships with your clients, and advocating for them internally. Understanding the inner workings of Ardonagh Advisory and the broader reinsurance marketplace is essential.

This role is part of the overall 'fulfilment' function of Ardonagh Advisory, encompassing account management, technical processing, claims, and IBA roles, collectively ensuring top-notch service delivery to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service:

  • Oversee all client service activities for your clients
  • Draft MRC's
  • Create market presentations
  • Process entries (Preference for Open TWINS experience)
  • Manage queries impacting client service and escalate as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records

Technical Capability

  • Provide and gather information to/from Underwriters, Brokers, and Business Producers
  • Offer expert advice on contract documents
  • Produce clear and accurate documents for clients
  • Utilize class of business knowledge to tailor contract documents
  • Check and recommend amendments to policies/contract documents
  • Create and maintain database of contract documents
  • Utilize market systems and internal systems effectively
  • Evaluate team workflow status and report to management
  • Support other Technical Account Managers

Leadership/Management:

  • Collaborate with Divisional Leadership to enhance processes
  • Mentor less experienced Technical Account Managers
  • Build relationships across different teams to drive best practices
  • Manage assigned project work as directed

Representing the Ardonagh Advisory:

  • Promote Ardonagh Advisory to clients and the marketplace
  • Interact with clients, agents, suppliers, and other organizations

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Escalate potential compliance issues promptly

Person Specification

Essentials:

  • Proactive and positive attitude towards client outcomes
  • Relevant experience in Reinsurance Account Management
  • Technical proficiency and attention to detail
  • Organized, collaborative, and able to engage at all levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirables:

  • Familiarity with Open TWINS
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education

  • 'A' level passes and 5 GCSE passes including English and Maths
  • Aspiration for professional growth in Insurance industry
