About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HR Officer to support their client on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will be based in Middlesbrough, working closely with the HR Manager and another HR Officer to ensure the smooth operation of the HR function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive HR support to the organization, ensuring best practices are in place.
  • Support managers in resolving employment issues and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in formal HR meetings and employee relations, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor and manage absence management, analyzing and reporting on staff sickness.
  • Be involved in the full recruitment lifecycle, from advertising to onboarding new employees.
  • Ensure HR files are up-to-date and maintained, and share changes with payroll.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience working in an HR position, supporting all HR activities. You will also need eligibility to work in the UK.
