Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Sourcing Expert to become a vital part of our sourcing division at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation. In this role, you will report directly to the Commercial Procurement Leader and will be responsible for managing designated suppliers in alignment with our sourcing guidelines, aiming to secure optimal contractual terms while ensuring satisfaction among internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties
  • Transform planned demand into compliant purchase orders that align with the production schedule. This involves identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, articulating requirements, analyzing bids, and negotiating favorable commercial terms.
  • Issue purchase orders to guarantee timely delivery while managing risks and addressing any arising tasks, issues, or disputes.
  • Serve as a champion for compliant procurement practices, adhering to GE procurement policies and procedures to implement functional strategies while continuously enhancing personal expertise.
  • Operate within established authority limits and escalate matters to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.
Qualifications Required
  • Relevant degree or CIPS certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement setting.
  • Aviation industry experience is highly desirable.

  • Curious mindset, willing to question processes and seek improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with suppliers and key stakeholders.
Preferred Characteristics
  • Experience with US/UK government compliance is preferred but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
