About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Sr Analyst to join our team at RAF Leeming, Junior Ranks Mess. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for cooking a variety of meals for our military customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cooking a range of meals to meet the dietary needs of our customers
  • Ensuring all food is prepared and presented to a high standard
  • Complying with all relevant food safety legislation and regulations
  • Helping to reduce kitchen waste and implementing processes to minimize wastage
  • Supporting with food orders and maintaining kitchen records
  • Checking all food for allergens and ensuring compliance with menu items
  • Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve meals
  • Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
  • Assisting with deliveries and stock checks/placing orders
  • Sharing responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries
  • Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries
  • Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
Requirements
  • Food hygiene certificate level 2 or willingness to work towards it on our e-learning platform
  • Relevant culinary qualification desirable, but not essential
  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen environment
  • Good level of spoken English
  • Security clearance and DBS check required

  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week
  • Mainly Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 weekends, shifts ranging between 7am and 8.30pm
