About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Project Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our Commercial Operations team, you will be responsible for managing large projects and providing support to our Programme Commercial Manager and Lead Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the client payment cycle, including the Project Change Account, to maximize income and improve margin.
  • Assess and issue notices to sub-contractors in accordance with contractual and legal requirements.
  • Manage sub-contractors from project start-up to final account, ensuring detailed and well-structured sub-contracts are in place.
  • Contribute to and implement Project Commercial Management Plans.
  • Assist in achieving corporate targets and budget within the Project Commercial Team.
  • Represent the Commercial team at Project, business, and client meetings, deputizing for the Programme Commercial Managers or Project Directors when required.
  • Comply with, undertake, and promote all relevant Environment, Health & Safety measures, responsibilities, and activities.
  • Assess and process insurance claims.

Requirements

  • Graduate entry degree level requirements or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date Continuing Professional Development records.
  • Knowledge of Contractor background with strong multi-discipline D&B experience.
  • Familiar with Quantification, costing of construction works, and task elemental cost analysis.
  • Health, Safety, and Sustainability matters relative to the industry.
  • Knowledge of Claims Handling.
