Established in 2015, our Support and Delivery infrastructure is designed to optimize research operations and ensure competitiveness in the research sector.
The NHS Research and Development Departments, led by experienced R&D Directors, provide essential services for research facilitation and support. These departments host a dedicated research delivery team comprising Research Nurses, Clinical Studies Officers, Research Officers, and Administrators, all committed to delivering high-quality health and social care studies. The Clinical Research Nurse will play a vital role within these teams.
Key Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity exists within the Medicine research delivery team at Cardiff and Vale University R&D for a Research Nurse.
We are looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse with a background in research and/or clinical practice, who has a keen interest in research activities. The successful candidate will be involved in the assessment and management of care pathways for patients engaged in clinical trials. Responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting and educating trial participants
- Monitoring patient progress throughout the trial
- Collecting and accurately documenting data
The position will be based within a leading healthcare facility, supporting a diverse portfolio of studies.
Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this role, and applications are welcome from both Welsh and English speakers.
