Are you enthusiastic about mathematics and committed to fostering student achievement? GSL Education - Newcastle is pleased to present a rewarding opportunity for you to become a part of our vibrant team as a Mathematics Educator - Post 16.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current mathematical proficiency of students.
- Concentrate on specific areas where students require additional support.
- Contribute positively to the overall ethos, mission, and objectives of the educational institution.
- Deliver tailored one-on-one mathematics tutoring to students transitioning from Year 6 to Year 7.
Qualifications:
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent tutoring credential.
- Robust subject expertise in mathematics, with the capability to instruct across various levels.
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching, ideally with secondary school learners.
- Exhibit patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for aiding students in their academic journey.
Please note that this position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols. Successful candidates must fulfill all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
