Export Compliance Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert guidance and advice to individuals and managers at all levels within the business unit to ensure compliance with UK and foreign import/export laws, including the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), as well as conforming with internal corporate policies and procedures, including CMMC accreditation in the future when available.
Key Responsibilities- Proven experience in an international trade compliance environment, preferably in defence manufacturing, with a strong understanding of UK and US trade regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of summarising complex regulatory information into concise, accessible, and useful formats.
- Ability to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Advanced knowledge of UK and US trade regulations, including classification lists and export licensing and agreements.
- Proficiency in all aspects of UK and US export licensing and agreements, including MOD approvals.
