Export Control Specialist

Wärtsilä is a global leader in innovative technologies and lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets. We are seeking an experienced Export Control Manager to join our team in Havant, UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with UK and foreign import/export laws, including the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Manage all trade, customs, and security compliance activities, including CMMC accreditation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for trade compliance, including latest global trade developments, regulatory changes, and risk management.
- Advise senior management on compliance developments, risks, and opportunities to add value.
- Design and deliver training and awareness programmes across functions.
- Liaise with external parties to ensure compliance requirements are flowed down and supply chain risks are mitigated.
- Represent the business through internal and external compliance verification activities.
- Proficiency in all aspects of UK and US export licensing and agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and independent, capable of performing duties with minimal supervision.
