Research Funding Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Funding Development Manager to join our Research and Innovation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and communicating funding opportunities to staff across the organisation, and will take the lead in coordinating and managing the bid development process.
About the RoleThe Research Funding Development Manager will work closely with colleagues in Research and Innovation, other teams in the Trust, and academic partners in industry and charity organisations to build and maintain relationships and establish cross-institutional collaborations to develop the research portfolio and increase research income into the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Research Funding Intelligence: Identify funding and collaborative opportunities, including horizon scanning to stay ahead of the competition.
- Communicating Funding Opportunities: Effectively communicate funding opportunities to staff across the organisation, ensuring that they are aware of the latest developments and can take advantage of them.
- Providing Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to staff in developing grant applications, ensuring that they have access to specialist knowledge and expertise.
- Research Planning: Work with the Research and Innovation team to develop research plans, including networking and collaboration with external partners.
- Supporting the Development of Research Proposals: Support the development of research proposals, including working with Research Governance and Finance to ensure that proposals are well-written and meet the necessary criteria.
- Undergraduate degree and/or significant relevant experience commensurate with this post.
- Masters or other postgraduate qualification.
- Able to fulfill Occupational Health requirements for the post (with reasonable adjustments if necessary).
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development, including attendance at relevant conferences and workshops.
