Job Title: Research Funding Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Funding Development Manager to join our Research and Innovation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and communicating funding opportunities to staff across the organisation, and will take the lead in coordinating and managing the bid development process.

About the Role

The Research Funding Development Manager will work closely with our Research and Innovation team to develop and implement a strategy for securing research funding. This will involve building and maintaining relationships with external partners, including academic institutions and research funders, to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the research funding landscape and will be able to provide expert advice and guidance to staff on research funding opportunities and the application process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and communicate funding opportunities to staff across the organisation
  • Coordinate and manage the bid development process
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including academic institutions and research funders
  • Develop and implement a strategy for securing research funding
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to staff on research funding opportunities and the application process
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree and/or demonstrable significant relevant experience commensurate with this post
  • Masters or other postgraduate qualification
  • Able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements for the post (with reasonable adjustments if necessary)
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development - including attendance at relevant conferences/workshops
