Business Unit Reporting Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Unit Reporting Controller to join our team at NatWest. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting and control activities for our franchise and legal entities.
Your primary focus will be on establishing strong working relationships with key customers, including Product Control and financial control stakeholders, to ensure seamless delivery of financial reporting outputs. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting queries and submitting KPIs on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities- Review and substantiate product level data outputs from the product control teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Deliver high-quality financial, statutory, regulatory, and management reporting outputs within the service level agreement.
- Support change initiatives, process improvements, and systems implementations related to our processes and applications.
- Provide end-to-end control and ownership of franchise and legal entity balance sheets, fixed assets accounting, and project accounting and reporting.
- Identify process improvement ideas and share them with the reviewer or lead to ensure all reports and outputs are produced on time and of high quality.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant or working towards a qualification with a background of being part of global teams of finance professionals. You will have experience in managing the delivery of core financial control and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting, and external audits.
You will also need knowledge of the latest data management techniques and applications, such as Python, AWS, and Tableau, as well as an understanding of change best practices and experience of delivering change in the financial services industry or medium to large corporates.
Additionally, you will need the ability to build and enhance key relationships at a senior level, while influencing and challenging as required.
