About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Commercial and Procurement Specialist to join our team at PA Consulting. As a key member of our Major Programme Services (MPS) team, you will play a pivotal role in executing complex projects across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and run major procurements, helping clients understand their requirements and leverage procurements to improve their business.
  • Project manage and provide expert advice on procurement processes, including supplier engagement, tender evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Advising on systems and processes to successfully transition from legacy to new frameworks and contracts, and to properly manage major contracts.
  • Review client procurement and commercial team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support renegotiation and improvement of agreements, and help resolve major disputes.
Requirements
  • Experience working with large and complex procurements, including equipment, digital services, and infrastructure.
  • Understanding of the procurement lifecycle and comfort with identifying procurement and commercial strategies, sourcing, tender evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Experience advising on contract terms and designing agreements to drive value.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management.
  • Experience with major government procurements and NEC contract forms is highly desirable.
  • MCIPS or MRICS Chartered status is ideal.
